Was updating a file as I do very often. Never had a problem before. Today I got this error. Restarted WinSCP and the file not only didn't save the changes, it was completely blank. All my data was lost! Next I tried to see if it would work anymore, but it still gave the same error. Its like it suddenly just broke altogether.
