True, but I prefer it because it has my speed limit for data transfer configured, Total commander does not (for copying data from archives).
If you map remote folder as a local drive, you do not need to use WinSCP.
You can just add basic archives (.zip,.rar, ..) opening ability.
While remote storage is mounted as a local drive (with assigned letter), there is no difference for WinSCP, as it treats like local file.
It would be really handy.

It's a huge task. And it can work only with protocols that allow reading parts of a files (like SFTP).
