Re: WinSCP and z/OS FTP Server

Please attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

WinSCP and z/OS FTP Server

When I connect using FTP to a mainframe z/OS server and list a unix system services (USS) directory on z/OS it shows as empty even though there are a sub directory with files in it. The directory has 755 as permissions meaning anybody can read and execute. I have tried Google AI suggestions i.e. putting the below in Post-login commands but to no avail.
SITE NAMEFMT 1
SITE LISTFMT 1
CWD /shopz25/

Why does WinSCP not recognize the Unix file structure on z/OS?
