You can write a script to download a file. Then check locally if the downloaded file exists. And give a message if not.

Can I download a file of a unix system to a windows pc about a script with winscp?
What I want...
I will check from my windows pc if exist a file of the unix system
If Yes then save this file of my pc
If not, give my a mesage that the file is not available
