today WinSCP plugin for FAR does not MDTM uploaded files if this command is not recieved in reply to FEAT request during connection negation.
But some vendors prohibit FEAT on their servers, for security reasons of some sort, I guess. However it does not mean server is featureless.
Martin, I ask you for an option to go beyond FEAT and force timestamping. For example, CuteFTP does so.
