If I am correct, OP means that case:
I think that Issue 496 – Automatically expand parent folders of home directory in initial directory tree is duplicate of Issue 493 – Mark non-explored folders in remote directory tree
- you connect to remote server which have some remembered last folder
- in the tree path to that folder is collapsed (see attachment "before expand.png")
- OP wants it to be automatically expanded (see attachment "after expand.png")

How to auto-expand root folder and auto-jump to subfolder?
When I login into a remote side then everything works fine except the fact that the left pane (=remote directory tree) is completely collapsed. I always have to click through the tree to get to a certain directory.
