WinSCP defaults to SFTP. If you want to make sure, just use sftp:// prefix.

How to force use of SFTP protocol??
Hi Everyone,
I can successfully upload file(s) to my SFTP using script. But what I would like to know is that, do I need to add any commnad in the script to force it to only use SFTP or is this done automatically.
The reason for this question is that I want this connection to the Server to be secure and only use SFTP. This is possible using GUI as I can simply Select SFTP, but when it comes to automation, I am not sure which protocol it uses.
