Re: Duplicate dialog box should show original file name not

Hi, I have replied to your email.

I tried the Dev build. I tried these functions on single files:

Download...
Download and Delete...
Duplicate...
Move To...

All of them still show *.* instead of the chosen file's name.

PS: I've also included an unrelated suggestion in the email.

Correct.

Will send you a dev version for testing shortly.

It shows *.* for single files too. Unless you already know it does, and you meant you are going to change that in a future version.

Re: Duplicate dialog box should show original file name not *.*

The *.* is there for a case you have multiple files selected. But if you have only one file select, it could show the file name only.

Duplicate dialog box should show original file name not *.*

When I right-click a file and click the Duplicate command, most often I simply want to make minor changes to the original filename to name the duplicated file (copy). However, the "Target remote directory" text box always shows a *.* instead of the original filename. I have to type out the entire file name or have it copied to clipboard prior to starting the Duplicate operation.

It will be very useful if the dialog already presented me with the original file name. I don't see a reason why this won't be a good idea - it will be incredibly helpful and save me the time spent copying the filename.
