I closed a dialog box that usually appears when I connect or reconnect to a Linux host via SSH. It's basically the banner telling me the OS version and other stuff. But, I think the reconnect was occurring while I was closing the lid on my laptop. When I opened it, and saw the WinSCP page, I went to close the dialog using the X in the upper right corner (not by clicking the OK button) and got the error.

Had an SCP session open which timed out. When clicking on this connection window, WinSCP tried to reconnect. This specific connection displays an authentication banner. WinSCPs authentication banner dialog appears. I tried to close it by clicking the dialog's "X" closing button, not by pressing any of the dialog buttons. Then the error popped up.

Btw: The "Report options" in the bug report should offer a third radio button for "I don't know / first time occurred".

Suddenly this error message popped up, between multiple (at least 2) dialogs that say 'Please login with user ID and password'. I closed the first dialog, then got the error. The second dialog is still visible.

After I was offline for a bit, the error happened when I confirmed re-establishing the connection after saving a file I had altered. I thought I'd had reconnected all tabs by activating them, saying "reconnect" before
