The more I look at the process of logging, the more confused I get. As I said, this is my very first time looking at anything like this and I really don't know what I'm doing. It might take me a week or two to sit down and figure things out. How will I know I did this logging thing correctly? Will it save as a file somewhere that I will know to send to you? Once I do that, it might take me another week to figure out how to get the file to you. *sigh* I'm sorry for being so inept, but maybe it IS something with Alamy.com? After this WinSCP didn't work, I tried another program they suggested, Filezilla, and had the same result.
This is how Alamy.com words their process:
FTP
This is a quick and easy way to send us your images:
You’ll need an FTP client, we recommend Filezilla, FirefTP, WinSCP, Cyberduck, or ClassicFTP
Enter Alamy’s FTP details into your FTP Client:
Host name: upload.alamy.com
Login/username: Your Alamy email
Port: 21
Your password is the same as your Alamy login
Drag your images to the relevant folder:
Live News (news, sport, entertainment less than 24 hours old)
Stock (if it’s your first submission only send 4 images)
Archive stock (for all archival and reportage images)
Vectors (for all vector files)
Alamy upload
You can also use our web-based online upload tool in My Alamy:
Select Upload and then Stock Upload
Choose JPEGs to upload
Click Upload
Once you’ve successfully uploaded your images, they’ll begin to be processed by our Quality Control team.
NOTE it only says 'drag your images to the relevant folder' and doesn't say anything after that about multiple images or separate uploads, etc. So I'm assuming I can upload multiple at one time, they require 4, but maybe I'm simply not understanding their process??????
