@monica.haut: Are you able to reproduce the problem? The files were probably meanwhile deleted from the server. Or doesn't the server automatically delete the downloaded files?

Hello - I was in the processing of downloading files that our former payroll service (ADP) had extracted to WinSCP for us. There were 23 zip files and I started the process of downloading all 'in the background'. When I went to check on the download process, I found that only 18 of the 23 zip files loaded. It looks like the download stopped due to ‘inactivity’??

I re-logged in to WinSCP – however – when I opened the ADP folder, there was only one zip file showing. I tried to download it and at first it looked like all was going well but it did not go through. When I tried to select download again, here is the message box I see. Not sure what happened to the rest of the zip files. Can you tell?

This happens with a frequency of 2-3 times per minute.
Unfortunately, the disconnection problem recurs often, even every 10 minutes.

I have a faulty root webserver that I can only reach for a few minutes after rebooting it.
The Webserver is running Ubuntu and Plesk Obsidian and I do not yet know the reason why the server crashes. All I am doing is remotely rebooting the server and connecting to it winSCP to backup vital files to my PC. The error in WinSCP occurs while transferring files in the background and the server goes offline.

Started a copy of local file in the left window to a remote ssh host in the right (4 files, 4G total?, ~2M/sec) After a few minutes, started an explorer copy to the left window of about 51G that took 7 hours to copy. It had just finished up the local copy -- apparently the remote copy was interrupted and hung until 8 hours later. I think it got confused when the remote session had long disappeared and I tried to reconnect.

Although after closing the error message, winscp STILL seems to be there and be connected correctly.

Thanks for a neat program, and this is NOT the latest version. (only 1 back though)

I had two file-edit windows opened. I changed the ip address of the connected device. (/etc/network/interfaces) The file was updated, but there remained an error about not being allowed to change the file permissions. Established a new connection with the new ip address.
Only then I pressed skip on the file permission error dialog, and then this happened.
