The article has it wrong. As the deveoper of WinSCP says in this post https://winscp.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=197 : "There is plenty of FTP clients. I don't want to make a new one. I'm sorry."

FTP?

The article at

refers to WinSCP as an FTP client. I successfully connected to a site supporting SSH but then tried it to a site which does not support SSH. In the latter case I could not get it to connect. Does WinSCP support straight FTP?
