What prevents you from opening multiple WinSCP consoles?

Does anyone know if it is possible to script background transfers?

So what I am trying to do is basically open 5 different connections to different servers, but I would like to be able to start a download and switch to a different connection instead of sitting and waiting until that download is complete to switch, is this possible to achieve?
