Re: File List broken?

Definitely possible. But lot of work :)

File List broken?

I just recognized that it isn't broken but I just expected it to be different.

The list of files in any "chunk" is only displayed below the processing list basically as a separate list.
I was expecting the items to be displayed inline in the processing list (just like the items that are currently processed, or just like when you add all files one by one)

Would it be possible to include an option to essentially "expand" a transfer job inline in the processing window and see the included files right there instead of a separated list down below?

File List broken?

It appears that the option introduced with the linked ticket is currently broken in 6.3.3

when drag & drop multiple files (or a folder), it is only showing the job plus the files that are currently processed, but not the ones in waiting state.
Ticking / Unticking the "File List" option has no effect. The list is displayed the same way in both settings.

Is there another open ticket for this issue?

This issue is being tracked already:
Issue 1785 – Allow seeing a complete list of files that are part of a background transfer
You can vote for it there.

If I were to go to the trouble of downloading each file individually, it starts transferring all the files at the same time, slowing all transfers.

WinSCP transfer at most 2 files at a time by default. You must have changed the defaults, if "it starts transferring all the files at the same time".

How does WinSCP decide the order of the files to transfer? It surely isn't alphabetically.

It transfers them in the order in which OS lists them. Which is (usually) alphabetical order.

Queue File List

Why is there no file detail in the queue list? If I select 20 files to transfer I get to see the files in process, but what about the files that are waiting?

I am very impressed with the software, and I like the features it offers over Filezilla, but the queue hiding files that are pending with no way to tag one with important priority (ie is next file to transfer) is VERY limiting. The inability to transfer specific files from different directories without them all transferring at the same time and slowing down all the transfers is also VERY limiting. IMO, because of the way that I use the software, at a bare minimum, there should be a way to easily see which files are pending, and the ability to set the total number of files transferred at a time.

Are either of these options possible?
