Bug reports without an attached log file are usually useless.

Before waiting for the problem to appear, make sure that the log files are really being written. No need for Debug 2 logs at this stage.

I was not aware of that, although I looked at the time stamps of all
*.log files in %TEMP% and there weren't any recent log files. I'll increase to Debug 2 and wait for the problem to reappear.

%TEMP%\!S.log. However, it just happened and when I look in %TEMP% (yes, I know what that means), there isn't a file named !S.log.

What version of WinSCP? What protocol are you using? Isn't it SCP (or maybe FTP)?

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Changed files (sometimes) aren't uploaded
When I save a file, sometimes the change isn't sensed by WinSCP and the file isn't uploaded. I'd guess this happens every 10 times, but it is very random.
I am using the latest Visual Studio as my editor. When WinSCP doesn't sense the change, I can usually wait a minute, resave the file, and it will get uploaded. Oftentimes I get frustrated and choose Stop, Start, and Yes in the "Keep remote directory up to date" dialog, and the file gets updated.
I see other posts about this, where you send a debug build, but I haven't seen a solution.
FWIW, it seems like this problem began about a month (or two) ago.
