I have same question (need to use internal editor on system conf file), but don't know where this fella's "other thread" is to be found. Can you provide link, or copy/paste solution here?

Using internal editor for files that need sudo

The internal editor is very good since I double click the file in the remote host and after edit, I simply save that in the remote host.

The question is How it is possible to edit a file which need root permission?
