Using Synchronize command

Is there a way to use the synchronize command to only download from a specific remote directory and ignore other remote directories? I want to use the synchronize command because it will allow me to skip over the files that already exist on the local computer. Thanks in advance for your help.

What "other remote directories"? The command synchronizes the only directories you specify.

Or do you mean subdirectories of the "specific remote directory"?
