You have forced af-south-1 region in your session settings. Did you try clearing that setting?

I have tried with and without the Region lock. I created a bucket in the Africa region and the eu-west region. I can access the EU bucket but not the Africa bucket.

Please attach log file with the region setting cleared. In the session, please try to access only that specific bucket. No other buckets before.

There you go. No alterations made when trying to connect.

Ok, what exact African region did you create the bucket in? If you try specifying that region in the session settings, does it change anything? Can you post a log file for that?

There is only one region you can create the S3 bucket in. I sent it in the first log with the region restriction and a the attempt to access it.

af-south-1

OK, so can you tell me step-by-step, what can I do to reproduce the problem you are facing?

Configure the connection in WinSCP:
  1. Select "New site"
  2. In the New site dialog, select Amazon S3 protocol
  3. In the "Host" field, enter s3.amazonaws.com
  4. Enter the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key
  5. Click 'Advanced'
  6. Click "Directories" (in the "Environment" section)
  7. In the 'Remote Directory" field, enter the S3 bucket name gisfilebackup
  8. Once connected, you can drag-and-drop the top-level directories into the S3 bucket. This will recursively upload the files and sub-directories.

@RaviPrasad: I'm not sure I understand your posts. Do you have a problem? Or are your posting your solution? Did you intend to post two same screenshots?

Re: Fixed

@lauricthepilot: I general, you should not modify the hostname. That may cause troubles with some functions. Can you provide step-by-step instructions to reproduce your problem, so that we can find the right solution?
