Editors Problem-HELP

I am using winscp 4.1.7, OS is Vista. My double-click command is "open".
I can add only 2 more external editor to winscp, which is not enough for me, is it possible to increase it OR is there a problem/bug with that? Please check it out if i am right.

My second problem is with the WIN WORD (2003). I tried many things but i could not fix it. When open a file and change it after i save it it does not save the file even though i add the WORD as external editor. I know the problem is with the double-click command, when i change it to "edit" WORD saves the file. If this is a bug, could you please fix this problem.

Why do you think so? Number of external editors is unlimited.

Have you read documentation about problems with some external editors? It may explain your problem.

If you try to add more than four file editor, winscp does not allow you to add the fifth editor. Try and see that, please.
In Filezilla FTP cilent there is an option "inherit systems file associations", which enables not to add external editors manually. It would be a good option for winscp as well.

MS WORD case is something like this:
This is due to double-click command but i realized that in the right click options there is an "edit" option that handles my situation and it is not a problem now, it saves

It does, I have tried. Can you give me more details? What do you mean by "does not allow"? Any error message?

That's what "open" command in WinSCP does.

Anyway, I will try to make this bit easier to setup. Added to tracker.

Well, poor me
:cry: Now, it works. But i cannot understand why winscp did like that. If it happens again i will give information about config. (browse button disappeared after 4th addition of new editor)

Thanks. This bug has been added to tracker.

I can confirm that the browse button disappears, but you can add new external programs if you write their path by hand.

I have the same issue that files are not updated after editing.
