How to make Binary as default transfer mode

Need help in having Binary as the default transfer mode, every time I close and open WinScp, default is the value for Select transfer settings preset.

Cannot see the Preferences as you mentioned in the link in the Win SCP. am using latest version. Pls see the attached scrn shot.

Can select Binary transfer mode in Win Scp, once I close and open WIn SCP the transfer mode will be in Default.

What do you mean by "value for Select transfer settings preset"?

Seeing your screenshot, I do not see a reason, why binary is not default for you. Can you post a screenshot of Transfer options dialog?
