My machine has been up for 18 days, and every night I put it to sleep. Today I resumed it from sleep, and notice this error dialog on my task bar.
I'm not sure how long its been there - maybe even more than one day. I do frequently fiddle with the network interfaces, so perhaps this triggered some kind of edge case.

When I open the WinSCP site it stays only for a few seconds and then I receive an error report. I am unable to take a screen shot as there isn't enough time.

winscp had been running for days and my VPN connection had been reset.
I reconnected to the work computer and dragged and dropped the file from remote to local and received this error.
Then I refreshed the directory list on both local and remote and tried again and received the same error.
So I quit winscp and restarted it and then it worked fine.
