Invalid access to memory - System::Syncobjs::TCriticalSection::Enter

I was returning to my laptop and having reconnected a previous session carried out a minor update on a file that I had been working on in notepadd++. After saving my change, I returned to winSCP expecting to find the usual 'reconnect file' message but was presented with the error message. The message repeats every time I save the file.

Closing down the file and re-opening resolved the problem

Invalid access to memory - System::Syncobjs::TCriticalSection::Enter

I believe this happens when I try to save a file to a server where the connection was lost, even though the connection was established again.

I use Atom to edit files. I had a file open on Atom, and then I shut down the server (EC2 instance, if this matters.) I later started the server again, continued editing the file, and tried to save the changes. Usually, it fails to save with a simple connection error on the console, and I have to reopen the file. This time it threw this dialog error message at me.

The quick solution is to reopen the file.

My laptop was switched back on from hibernating. I reconnected to our vpn and carried on with my work. I tried to save the file I was editing in notepad ++ and then got the error. This is the first time I have ever received this error in the 5 odd years of using WinSCP and Notepad ++. I did however have a windows update last week

Invalid access to memory - System::Syncobjs::TCriticalSection::Enter

The problem appeared after reconnecting the local machine to the distant server.
The local machine had been physically disconnected from any network (no WiFi, no ethernet). However, WinSCP had not been been closed before or during the disconnection
(in the hope that after the reconnecting the machine to the network, WinSCP
would find a way how to continue the session as if nothing had happened).
After the reconnection, WinSCP was still running but it could not continue the session,
in which I originally accessed the remote server, WinSCP refused to continue that session an I had to assist it and confirm that (I do not remember exact sequence of messages/actions), so I immediately opened a new session, connecting to the same server, same directory. Then I accessed a text file
on the server with the in-built editor by pressing F4, edited the file and
tried to save it with Ctrl+S. WinSCP responded with the error message listed below.

I was away for some time from the machine.
FTP/SSH/... connection was broken, my terminal (cygwin) was disconnected. I had to restore - I think - two connections in the winscp file browser. I returned to the internal editor where a file was still open, made some changes and tried to save. This ended in a crash with the error message below. I think this was the second time i experienced this. Usually this (return to broken sessions, restore connections, return to work in editor ) works fine.

When I open .php a file for edit with vscode
then if the session expired and reconnect, if I try to save the file again this error accrue.
