Canceling a timed out connection attempt with ESC quickly?
Hi,
just a small request:
When trying a connection to a server which is present in DNS but is down, Winscp waits a long time (30 sec?) before giving up. We have quite a few of these and it's a minor annoyance having to wait when I select one such session, either by mistake or when testing if a server is up.
So; it would be great if the connection could be quickly closed by using ESC, or clicking the X icon. However, when using ESC now, nothing happens, and clicking X it says "Canceling..." but it still waits for the same amount of time.
I suspect maybe there is some deeper technical reason for having to wait for the timeout, like the underlying OS' timeout values, so this is understandable if it is not easy to remedy.
thanks,
Stian
