There wasn't any certain steps that I followed to get to this error, other than trying to connect to my website to update my webpages.

i think standby and loss of wlan happend often while i left open the program for a few days

The problem happens rarely. I cannot reproduce it.

I was attempting to connect to a server with a pre-filled username & password. The line between me and said server was dropping all sorts of packets (about ~60% packet loss). WinSCP was, understandably, having serious issues trying to connect to it. After roughly 1 minute of trying, WinSCP said this:

The internet-connection was lost last evening, then I put the computer sleep (not shut down, a sleeping mode). On awaking computer I faced this problem immediately.

The problem happens rarely. I cannot reproduce it.

WinScp connected to server. Then I put my PC into hibernation mode. When restarting it, the latest version of WinSCP will be lockup. You cannot cancel it.
The last version works fine.

The problem happens rarely. I cannot reproduce it.

I get this regularly when the device I'm talking to reboots and the session dies. If I leave WinSCP alone it's fine, and if the device comes back it reconnects automatically. I've not paid a lot of attention to the dupe, but it's either acknowledging or closing the "Server unexpectedly closed network connection" notify dialog that it drops this error.

I'm running Win10 x64.

Happens after a session time out, WinSCP askes for username, when i press cancel the error ocures.

The problem happens rarely. I cannot reproduce it.

Was connected via VPN to server. Killed VPN. Pressed Cancel to close session quickly.
Therefore not a functional crash, but maybe unexpected behavior and poor error reporting.

Hello, I was connected and suddenly it was reconnecting (but not responding). I tried to cancel the process when I got the error message.
Not sure if it is your fault, I blame windows but just in case. :)
Also not sure if it is relevant, but I was on VPN but it was not showing any abnormality (reconnect or similar).
