After download ends switch off the internet connection
WinSCP allows to shutdown automatically the computer after download/upload ended (and couple other options of same sort) but is it possible instead just to disconnect Ethernet or WiFi from the internet ?

No, WinSCP does not have such option.
But as you post this in "scripting" section: If you have a WinSCP script, what prevents you from scripting the disconnect, once WinSCP script finishes?
