When I connect to the remote server, I get an error message due to WinSCP client running the 2x following commands upon connection\ login-

"group"
"ls -la"

My remote system does not recognise either command and so I get 2x errors.

Is it possible to remove or modify these commands?

You may turn off using 'groups', but 'ls -la' is essential. What is your server? Have you tried SFTP (with WinSCP 3.0 beta only)?
