synchronize non-recursively

I like the synchronize command (https://winscp.net/eng/docs/scriptcommand_synchronize), and the fact that it can operate recursively down a folder hierarchy. However, there are time when I'd prefer that it only operates on the same level as the stated folders, without recursing. Is that possible?
